How we use cookies

Our Cookie Approach
Chatterence operates a cookie-minimal website. We prioritize your privacy and only use essential cookies for basic functionality.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your experience.
The Cookie We Use
We use only one essential cookie:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Stores your language preference | Session (deleted when browser closes) |
Cookies We DON'T Use
We do NOT use:
- Tracking or analytics cookies
- Marketing or advertising cookies
- Profiling or behavioral cookies
- Third-party cookies
Web Assistant Browser Storage
This website includes the Chatterence Web Assistant chat widget. The widget never writes HTTP cookies: it uses your browser's storage instead.
- Before any interaction: temporary technical session data in sessionStorage (automatically deleted when you close the tab) and your widget language preference in localStorage.
- Only after your explicit consent and use of the chat: your consent record, a session identifier, your preferences and the encrypted conversation history.
Full details are available in the widget's own privacy notice, shown before you start a chat, and in our Privacy Policy.
How to Manage Cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies
Note: Disabling cookies may affect language selection functionality.
